The hotel was designed by London-based interior designer, Tara Bernerd & Partners that offers sophistication, world-class culinary, sweeping views of Hollywood and more.

The hotel has a rooftop pool, with views of the Hollywood sign, and outdoor dining at at the rooftop lounge Bar Lis, a French-inspired brasserie.

Thompson Hollywood is perfectly situated in the heart of LA's iconic Hollywood neighborhood, offering guests prime access to the vibrant entertainment scene, chic shopping, and eclectic dining spots, all while being just a short distance from the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame. This modern luxury hotel serves as an ideal base for exploring the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

The Thompson Suite at Thompson Hollywood is the epitome of luxury, offering expansive living spaces with floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase panoramic views of the city. The suite features a separate living room, a lavish bedroom with a plush king bed, and a sleek, modern bathroom with a deep soaking tub and rainfall shower. Thoughtfully designed with upscale furnishings and contemporary art, the Thompson Suite provides a chic and sophisticated haven in the heart of Hollywood.

Staying in the Thompson Suite at Thompson Hollywood was an experience in refined luxury and style. The suite’s wraparound windows offered stunning views of the Hollywood Hills, creating a breathtaking backdrop day and night. The midcentury modern design, coupled with the spacious living room and kitchenette, made it perfect for entertaining. The marble bathroom, powder room, and plush king bed added to the suite's comfort, making it a chic and sophisticated retreat in the heart of Hollywood.

It features chic midcentury modern furnishings, including a comfortable sofa and accent chairs, all arranged to take advantage of the stunning views through the suite’s wraparound windows. The décor blends contemporary elegance with subtle Hollywood glamour, creating an inviting ambiance that’s perfect for hosting guests or enjoying a quiet evening. The space is further enhanced by a sleek kitchenette, adding convenience to this luxurious setting.

It features elegant cabinetry and premium appliances, perfect for preparing light meals or cocktails. It includes a deep soaking tub, perfect for unwinding after a busy day, and a spacious rainfall shower that adds a spa-like element to your stay. With high-end fixtures and premium D.S. & Durga bath amenities, the bathroom offers a serene and indulgent experience, making it a true sanctuary within the suite.

Dining

Thompson Hollywood brings a touch of European flair to LA's dining scene with three distinct venues. The Lobby Bar offers a chic spot for creative cocktails, while The Terrace provides a sun-drenched setting for breakfast, lunch, and afternoon bites with rooftop views. Bar Lis, the rooftop lounge, captures the playful sophistication of the Côte d’Azur, offering outdoor dining and drinks with stunning views of the Hollywood sign and the city. Additionally, Mes Amis, a private event space inspired by Parisian brasseries, combines Hollywood glamour for events up to 250 guests.

During our stay we dined at Bar Lis on the rooftop. Our experience at Bar Lis was very fun and playful. The ambiance, views, drinks and food were amazing. We’d highly recommend the chips and dip with caviar.

The other best part of Thompson Hollywood’s rooftop is The Terrace. This is their rooftop restaurant by the pool.

The Terrace provides stunning views of the Hollywood Hills and downtown Los Angeles, offering a casual menu with coastal California-inspired light bites and shareable dishes. Enjoy an extensive rosé selection and freshly crafted cocktails in a lush, intimate setting, ideal for breakfast, solo lunches, or sunset gatherings.

We had breakfast at The Terrace. This was the perfect place to start the day with a cup of coffee and some breakfast classics.

At The Terrace, breakfast is a delightful experience featuring their signature breakfast burrito. This hearty dish is packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients, making it a perfect start to the day. Enjoy it while taking in the beautiful views of the Hollywood Hills and downtown Los Angeles, all within the relaxed and inviting ambiance of The Terrace.

Their ground-floor restaurant, Mes Amis was permanently closed during our stay.

Hyatt's new collaboration with Peloton elevates guest experiences by incorporating Peloton’s premium fitness equipment into select properties. At Thompson Dallas, this partnership is highlighted by the presence of Peloton bikes in the fitness center. Guests can engage in dynamic, immersive cycling sessions with top instructors, either in the state-of-the-art fitness area or from the comfort of their room. This initiative underscores Thompson Dallas' dedication to providing cutting-edge amenities for health and wellness enthusiasts, ensuring guests can stay fit while on the go.

The rooftop pool at Thompson Hollywood is a vibrant oasis, offering guests a refreshing escape with stunning city views. The pool area is adorned with bright yellow umbrellas that add a cheerful pop of color, creating a lively and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're lounging by the poolside or taking a dip, the eye-catching umbrellas provide stylish shade while enhancing the overall sunny and sophisticated vibe of the rooftop retreat.

Overall Impression

The stay at Thompson Hollywood was an exceptional experience, blending modern luxury with Hollywood glamour. From the stylish, midcentury modern design of the rooms and the expansive Thompson Suite to the vibrant rooftop pool and chic Bar Lis, every aspect of the hotel exuded sophistication and comfort.
